Refund Policy
We take great pride in our products and hope you are satisfied with your purchase from NERVETECH. Our products go through a stringent quality check before shipping to ensure the best quality and your full satisfaction.
Our products are subject to a Limited Warranty Policy. All products supplied by NERVETECH are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the Limited Warranty Policy below.
Can a Customer return items purchased?
All sales are final. Items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances.
NERVETECH does not accept returns or exchanges, except where items are assessed to be defective and are still in their original condition.
No refunds are available. Returns accepted are for online store credit or a replacement item only, and exclude shipping costs and surcharges. Items must be new or unused, with original packaging/box and tags intact. Acceptance of any return or exchange, even where deemed defective, is at the sole discretion of NERVETECH.
What if the Customer receives items that are defective?
If a Customer has a complaint about an item or thinks it might be defective or faulty, the Customer must send an email notice to support@nervetech.co.za within 3 days of the receipt/delivery date, with photos of the defective item attached showing the fault or damaged part.
Only upon written confirmation by NERVETECH to accept the return must the defective item be returned, within 3 days of that confirmation. Once confirmed, the Customer must arrange delivery from their location to NERVETECH, who will submit the item for evaluation and testing.
If evaluated to have a manufacturing defect, a store credit will be issued, subject to NERVETECH's satisfaction with the return. If the item does not qualify as a manufacturing defect, or is proven not faulty, it will be returned to the Customer at the Customer's delivery cost.
- Returns are rejected if items are not in original condition.
- Returns are rejected if due to misuse or showing signs of wear and tear, even under warranty.
- Returns are rejected if items have been assembled, used, altered or installed.
How quickly can the Customer return defective items?
An email notice must be sent to support@nervetech.co.za within 3 days from the receipt date of the items, with pictures of the defective item attached. The item must then be returned within 3 days of NERVETECH's written confirmation to accept the return.
Who is responsible for the delivery costs to return defective items?
If the return is unaccepted by NERVETECH after evaluation, the Customer is responsible for all delivery costs. Where a store credit or replacement item is successfully processed, NERVETECH bears the delivery cost to return the defective item and send the replacement.
How does the store credit work?
Once a returned item has been evaluated and is eligible for a store credit, NERVETECH will issue a store credit which the Customer can use to order a replacement item or on a future purchase.
Store credits are valid for 6 months only and are non-exchangeable for cash.
How long does the whole return process take?
NERVETECH must receive the defective item within 3 working days after confirmation to accept the return (Gauteng only). Evaluation usually takes 3–5 days depending on item type and manufacturer process, and up to 14 working days in certain cases.
After evaluation, delivery of a replacement item takes 5–7 working days from the time the Customer submits an order for the replacement and applies the store credit online.
Returns of defective items are applicable only within the Republic of South Africa — NERVETECH is unable to accept returns from outside South Africa.
Warranty on Inverters and Batteries
Mobile Inverters (Plug & Play) carry a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty on the inverter only. NERVETECH units carry a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty on the inverter and 12 months on the battery. NERVETECH batteries do not carry any warranty unless otherwise stipulated on a valid copy of the NERVETECH invoice.
Warranty on Solar Inverters & Equipment: all inverters must be installed by a qualified electrical installer or master electrician registered with the Department of Labour. A valid electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC) must be issued once installed. Installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and all its parts. Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid CoC and proof of a qualified installer can be rejected, rendering the claim null and void.
What the warranty does not cover
- Power surge, under-voltage, over-voltage or lightning
- Corrosion, sea spray, condensation or water damage
- Dust, sand, insects, lizards or other solid particles
- Excessive heat exposure or weather damage
- Negligence by the installer or homeowner, or incorrect installation
- Inadequate protection device rating or dirty filters
- Tampering, including a broken seal or attempting to open the unit
- Exceeding the maximum power, current or voltage rating for the solar circuit, DC battery input, AC input or AC output
The warranty is void if the unit is

- Not protected by the calculated and required 2-pole breakers for the input and output of the inverter

No warranty applies if products are not installed by a qualified installer. NERVETECH carries no responsibility for incorrect connection, overload, soaking, lightning strikes, voltage drops or short circuit caused by incorrect installation or failure to maintain the system properly.
Shipping and Delivery
Shipping rates depend on the product and weight. Due to the high crime rate, NERVETECH has limited shipping on heavier products and ships smaller items such as gadgets, accessories, solar lights, LED lights and micro UPS systems. Standard rates range between R129 and R300 depending on items, weight and distance. Standard delivery charge is R350 on gadgets, accessories, smart appliances, laptops and smartphones. Additional freight charges may apply for heavier or bulkier products.
All NERVETECH batteries and inverter units are tested before an order is prepared or allowed for collection, to ensure they perform optimally and are fault-free. Standard delivery times are 5–7 working days; heavier items may result in short-term delays, with the Customer kept updated on order status. Orders for collection are ready within 1–3 days. Orders placed via payment gateway or EFT are only shipped or prepared for collection once funds have cleared.
It is not possible to change a delivery address after an order is confirmed — always double-check address details at checkout. Orders can be collected at any NERVETECH-nominated station at the Customer's convenient time. Delivery is currently limited to SADC countries, and shipping charges may apply.
